Reminded why I love Cape Coral

Calling Cape Coral Home

With so many people coming down to Cape Coral during the winter I’m reminded why I love this little piece of heaven so much. Just on our street we have many Germans that have rental homes that they own and come in to use during the winter months. I love the diversity of culture here and the fact that we can have so many types of people come and visit our wonderful little Southwest Florida town. As the snowbirds come in to Cape Coral from Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin, I’m reminded of my earlier years of growing up on the Indiana and Illinois border. Cape Coral really is a beautiful place that I’m happy to live and work. Selling real estate in Cape Coral I am blessed to go into some of the most beautiful homes with some of the most gorgeous waterfront views. I am also able to help people with retirement and where they may be investing some of their hard-earned money to come and have a place to enjoy there later years. It’s not just the canals, golf courses,  Gulf access or the accessibility to an international airport. I truly believe that Cape Coral is a melting pot of wonderful diverse people that makes this place so special and why I love to call it home.

Cape Coral real estate update

Recent sales in Cape Coral and Fort Myers

The city of Cape Coral and the surrounding area in Southwest Florida has had an extremely warm (not quite hot) real estate market of late. With less distressed properties on the market and more home sellers realizing higher sale prices than previous years there seems to be a feel of the market stabilizing and actually increasing into 2013. Recent million dollar home sales in the area include locations like Alva, Orchard Ridge in Bonita Springs, and Town River development. This Town River development and million dollar sale allowed for sailboat access canal and private dock and lift. Some of the other million dollar homes that have recently sold in the area have amenities like golf course views, private pools and spa, riverfront access and gated security.

Not only have their been impressive million dollar sales in the area but the cost of financing home has dropped to absolute record historic lows. Right now in December 2012 the average 30 year fixed rate is just over 3.3%. 15 year rate fixed mortgages or just over 2.6%. We have never seen rates this low in Southwest Florida and look forward to it creating a steady increase in an already appreciating market. If you’re looking for a home, condo or waterfront community in Southwest Florida be sure and reach out to us we would be honored to help.
